Linea House / Wolveridge Architects
Briefly

Blade House is designed to harmoniously integrate with its landscaped garden, ensuring every interior aspect connects with nature. The architectural layout features separate wings to accommodate the family's evolution over time while maximizing privacy from the street. A unique design choice involved removing traditional boundary fences, enhancing openness and inviting public interaction. The use of materials like Australian hardwood, travertine, and Venetian plaster, alongside strategically placed large windows and sliding doors, enhances connectivity to the outdoor spaces, creating a serene environment suitable for relaxation and entertainment.
The Blade House design emphasizes biophilic principles, connecting every interior space to nature and promoting health and well-being through visual and physical connections.
By removing the traditional boundary fence, the architects extend the property outward, inviting the public in while maintaining a sense of family privacy.
