The inspiration for the new Ragu was Italian hospitality, the neighborhood rhythm of the day, and pasta understood both symbolically and literally. Our aim was to capture the atmosphere of a small Italian trattoria: homely, relaxed, and conducive to gatherings. Guests were meant to have the opportunity both to celebrate meals together and to spend time in smaller groups."

RAGU is a 90 m restaurant completed in 2025 by Migdal Studio and 8 Architects as part of the CUDO project. The design draws inspiration from Italian hospitality, the neighborhood rhythm of the day, and pasta understood both symbolically and literally. The interior aims to evoke a small Italian trattoria that feels homely, relaxed, and conducive to gatherings. Seating arrangements support communal meals and smaller-group interactions. The project integrates products and furnishings from manufacturers including Rako, Artera, Equipe, Ferroluce, HAY, Nodi, and Satelliet. Photographs were taken by Migdal Studio.
