St Kentigerns Childcare Centre / Smith Architects
Briefly

The project creates a unique early childhood centre intended to inspire children to develop confidence and humility through a strong sense of community. The design team is led by Caroline Ducobu with contributions from James Browning, Djordje Petkovic, and Bhumika Mistry, supported by construction, engineering, landscaping, geotechnical, and visualisation consultants. Construction is handled by Aspec Construction, engineering by Markplan Consultants, landscaping by Natural Habitats, and geotechnical work by KGA Geotechnical, with interiors and visualisation by Smith Architects. A detailed site analysis evaluated locations within the school and selected a site driven by access and car parking, reinforced by a bush-lined outlook on three sides.
