Down in the Clouds consists of three whimsical pavilions strategically set within rice paddies in Xiangshan, designed by Increments Studio and Practice on Earth. These structures, with their bulbous forms and aluminum frames, serve to revitalize the rural landscape, catering to both locals and tourists as communal spaces. A café, reading room, and film screening area collectively foster engagement and connection to nature, blending art and architecture to inspire curiosity while addressing the economic challenges faced by rural communities due to urban migration.
The trio of pavilions, designed by Increments Studio and Practice on Earth, aims to address the erosion of rural life in China by enhancing agrotourism.
