The Data Use and Access Bill introduced by the UK government aims to facilitate better data sharing between public and private sectors. The bill, projected to bring £10 billion to the UK's economy over a decade, is designed to save significant time for public sector workers. It includes provisions for digital verification of services, digital birth and death registrations, and reforms to the existing data protection framework. Experts have welcomed its intent to improve efficiency in public service delivery, emphasizing its significance in easing administrative burdens.
With laws that help us to use data securely and effectively, this Bill will help us boost the UK's economy, free up vital time for our front-line workers, and relieve people from unnecessary admin so that they can get on with their lives.
From my perspective, anything that makes it easier for us to do business as a citizen is massively important. If it takes time out of people's working day I think it's an important thing.
