The BART Pittsburg Center station is closed all day Sunday for the installation of next-generation fare gates aimed at enhancing safety and reducing fare evasion. While the station is closed, trains on the Yellow Line will continue to operate between the Pittsburg/Bay Point and Antioch stations but will not stop at Pittsburg Center. Passengers are advised to use either Antioch or Pittsburg/Bay Point as alternatives. A free shuttle will provide transport between Pittsburg Center and Pittsburg/Bay Point to alleviate commuter inconvenience.
