In a statement, Bass noted, 'We don't need anything distracting from the recovery work we're doing,' after Soboroff agreed to modify his agreement.
Soboroff's role was to focus on rebuilding efforts in the Pacific Palisades, especially the historic business district, following last month’s devastating fire.
Having spent decades developing thousands of homes, Soboroff also held volunteer positions on the city’s Board of Police Commissioners and Recreation and Parks Commission.
