Mr. Dewie's is bringing its popular cashew ice cream to Walnut Creek
Briefly

Mr. Dewie's, a cashew ice cream shop founded by brothers Andrew and Ari Cohen, is opening its fourth location in Walnut Creek. Initially launched as an almond-milk based ice cream in 2011, the company transitioned to using cashews due to drought-related almond farming challenges. They import cashews from Tanzania, and all products are vegan and organic. The shop features 16 flavors, with caramel almond crunch being the most popular. The new store is expected to attract more customers interested in healthy, tasty ice cream alternatives.
One taste, and you'll go nuts. That was the original slogan of Mr. Dewie's first non-dairy ice cream in 2011.
It's blown people away for 15 years. Created because both Andrew and Ari Cohen couldn't eat dairy, Mr. Dewie's was originally an almond-milk based ice cream.
The most popular flavor is the caramel almond crunch, the only flavor that uses coconut palm sugar instead of cane sugar.
Everything is vegan, dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free and additive-free, Cohen said. They're all natural, organic products.
