Elon Musk's Ad Astra school, initially set to open this summer on a 40-acre horse ranch, faces delays due to postponed site inspections required for licensing.
The Texas Health and Human Services reported that the school's site inspection has been delayed twice, first from August 27 to September and then to October 4.
Ad Astra is targeting children aged three to nine and, despite the delays, its website continues to promote an opening this fall.
Musk founded the original Ad Astra school in 2014 for SpaceX employees' children, which has since morphed into a nonprofit online school.
