A new computer lab has opened at Kelvedon Hatch Primary School in Brentwood, aimed at enhancing digital skills among pupils. Former education minister Alex Burghart inaugurated the facility, praising the collaboration among parents, teachers, and the community, particularly highlighting the Parent Teacher Association's efforts to raise 10,000. The project received support from the Discovery Educational Trust and donations from ClearSpace Group. The headteacher emphasized the importance of this new technology in preparing students for the modern world, reflecting the community's dedication to education.
It was made possible through the school's Parent Teacher Association, which was the driving force behind a campaign to raise 10,000. Mum-of-two Hannah Shire, who co-chairs the association, said: We're just a small primary school, so it was a real team effort by everyone to raise the funds and donations.
This facility will provide our pupils with cutting-edge technology to develop digital skills that are crucial in today's world. That's thanks to our parents and the entire community for their generosity.
