Through a window, Pepperdine students watch Malibu fire engulf campus

As the Franklin fire raged across Malibu, officials at Pepperdine University urged students to remain on campus, following a well-established fire policy.

University officials articulated that their established protocol, supported by the Los Angeles County Fire Department, has successfully safeguarded the campus since 1993.
