The 2024/25 Champions League introduces a new format with 36 teams in the league phase, allowing clubs to face a greater variety of opponents.
Instead of the previous three opponents faced twice, teams will now play against eight different clubs throughout the new league phase.
The matches will take place throughout the fall, culminating in the knockout stage, which begins in February, following the determination of all qualifying teams.
The league phase cannot commence until the play-offs are completed, determining the full list of teams that will compete in this season's Champions League.
