""Impacts from moderate coastal flooding and substantial beach erosion are ongoing around communities down the shore and even along the bayside," it said, noting high winds were expected to peak into the overnight hours, with gusts along the coast of 50-60 mph set to continue. "We are expecting additional arounds of Moderate to potentially Major coastal flooding during the next high tide cycles overnight and Monday afternoon," it said."
Coastal flood-related advisories stretched from northern Florida to New England as a storm lingered into Tuesday. New York declared emergencies for NYC, Long Island, and Westchester due to damaging winds, heavy rain, potential flooding, and power outages. Tidal flooding occurred across Delaware and southern New Jersey, and moderate coastal flooding with substantial beach erosion affected shore and bayside communities. High winds with gusts of 50–60 mph were expected to peak overnight, with additional rounds of moderate to major coastal flooding forecast during upcoming high tides. Heavy rainfall along the Carolinas' coast carried a level 2/4 risk of excessive rainfall and scattered flash flooding.
