Birkenstock is raising prices to offset the hit from Trump's tariffs
Briefly

Birkenstock plans to implement a low single-digit price increase globally, as announced by finance chief Ivica Krolo, to mitigate the effects of tariffs imposed by President Trump. Although goods entering the US will face additional tariffs, Birkenstock is strategically positioned with all production in Europe, reducing exposure to tariff impacts. The company aims to fully offset tariff effects without altering its global pricing structure. In conjunction with price hikes, Birkenstock is also working on production efficiency and vendor negotiations to manage costs. Despite the challenges, the company reported a strong quarterly revenue growth of 19% year-over-year.
"We will be fully offsetting the effects from current existing tariffs. We're not raising in one region only, we see it as a global exercise."
"With 100% of our production and 96% of our materials sourced from Europe and no contract manufacturing from Asia, we are less exposed to tariff impact."
