Met Éireann forecasts a cloudy day with patchy light rain in the west and southwest, gradually moving east. Evening conditions will improve in the northwest with temperatures reaching a high of 15 degrees. The following Sunday is expected to be drier, albeit with some isolated showers in the southwest. Next week promises high pressure leading to largely dry and bright weather, particularly from Tuesday on, with highs of 17 degrees on Wednesday and mild temperatures continuing throughout the week.
It will be a cloudy day today with patchy light rain and drizzle in the west and southwest gradually spreading eastwards throughout the early afternoon.
Drier and brighter conditions are expected to develop in the west and northwest by evening as highest temperatures reach 11 to 15 degrees.
The outlook for the following days is positive, with high pressure remaining close to Ireland and dry, bright weather continuing for the rest of the working week.
Tuesday is expected to be dry and 'much brighter' with plenty of sunshine.
