Axelera AI, based in Eindhoven, has received €61.6M in funding from the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking to advance AI hardware acceleration via the DARE project. This initiative aims to foster a European supercomputing ecosystem by designing processors and accelerators tailored for high-performance applications. EuroHPC JU's director, Anders Jensen, emphasized the project's significance in achieving European digital sovereignty and advancing hardware and software innovations. Axelera’s upcoming AI inference chiplet, Titania, will leverage a unique architecture enabling scalability and efficiency across computing environments, improving AI infrastructure from edge to cloud solutions.
