Swedish International Development Cooperation Minister Benjamin Dousa emphasized the significance of a trade deal for Swedish access to India's growing market, highlighting recent increases in both exports to and imports from India.
"India is a fast growing economy, which in a few years is expected to be the world's third largest," said Dousa in a statement.
"Together, the EU and India would form the world's largest free trade zone and a deal would give Swedish companies better access to an important market," he said.
