The UK and Germany, perhaps the two countries most closely aligned when Britain was inside the EU, are starting out afresh in a darker world.

Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Azerbaijan for a state visit, highlighting a growing partnership between the two countries in Central Asia and South Caucasus.

"This year's fair wants to promote optimism and serve as a platform for dialogue between politics and business on fostering a conducive environment for investment success."
