Tesla signs solar contract with energy provider in Spain
Briefly

Tesla has entered a long-term power purchase agreement with renewable provider Zelestra to supply the company with approximately 130 GWh of clean energy from three solar projects in Spain. The agreement reflects Tesla's ongoing commitment to sustainable energy and supports the automotive industry’s demand for carbon-free solutions. The Ciudad Real solar facilities are projected to produce a total of 146 GWh annually, contributing to Zelestra's significant project portfolio of over 5 GW in Spain alone. This collaboration complements Tesla's efforts to integrate energy storage solutions through its Megapack and Powerwall systems.
We are excited about this agreement with Tesla, which will allow us to supply clean energy to the automotive industry, and proud to reinforce our role as a partner offering tailored, carbon-free solutions around the world and across all sectors.
The Ciudad Real solar factories are aiming to have a total annual production of 146 GWh, accounting for a combined total capacity of over 74 MWdc.
