As I approach 40, I focus on embracing both nostalgia and decluttering. While I let go of unused items, I intend to keep meaningful possessions that evoke joy. My music collections, including burned CDs and unique albums not available on streaming services, hold sentimental value. Moreover, my children have taken an interest in my physical photo albums, showing their preference for tangible memories over digital ones, which strengthens family bonds and shared history.
As I reach what some might call "middle age," reclaiming some of the items of my youth not only makes me feel young again, but also makes me feel happier overall.
Surprisingly, my kids started pulling my photo albums out recently. They'd never do that with an online album.
