Beyoncé arrived in a feathered train look designed by Olivier Rousteing, with a cloak and crystal-encrusted skeleton gown that required multiple people to carry and filled a full tier of the Met’s steps. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky arrived later, with Rihanna wearing a custom metallic Maison Margiela gown by Glenn Martens and A$AP Rocky in a baby-pink smoking robe. Emma Chamberlain wore a custom watercolor Mugler gown inspired by a 1997 ensemble. Cardi B wore a sheer lace Marc Jacobs dress with exaggerated padding. Kylie Jenner appeared in a surreal Schiaparelli gown with sculpted features. Heidi Klum wore a living-statue foam and latex gown, Katy Perry wore a masked Stella McCartney look, and Hailey Bieber wore a 24-carat gold bodice nodding to Yves Saint Laurent’s 1969 couture work.
