Kaiva Kaimins, founder of a floristry design studio in London, shares insights into her unique work wardrobe. Her journey into floristry began as a gap year adventure that evolved into a thriving business after working through significant challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Kaiva emphasizes the importance of layering and texture in both her floral designs and her outfits, highlighting how her style is reflected in her worklife. Today, her brand offers a global reach, transitioning from events to flower deliveries, showing resilience and creativity in her approach.
To me, getting ready is similar in both dressing and flower arranging—colour, layering and texture are key parts in my floral designs and how I style my outfits.
I completely fell into floristry by accident! I came to London on a gap year when I was 18, later developing my own style and starting my own studio in 2020.
I had to pivot when COVID hit; we started doing weekly flower deliveries and launched an online store, allowing us to stay afloat during tough times.
