Sock Boots! Bloomers! Jelly Sandals! Meet the Stars of COS's Spring 2025 Show in Greece
Briefly

COS's S/S 25 collection, led by design director Karin Gustafsson, debuted at the striking Dionyssomarble Quarry in Greece. Inspired by Renaissance art, the collection juxtaposes grandiosity with minimalism, focusing on themes of extreme masculinity and femininity. Gustafsson aimed to maintain COS's identity while embracing richer textures and materials. The quarry's historical significance and aesthetic appeal perfectly complemented the collection, embodying both opulence and an unfinished quality, making the entire runway show a memorable event attended by various fashion icons.
The collection's debut took place inside Dionyssomarble Quarry, a cavernous marble structure that offered a contrast of grandness and rawness.
Inspiration drawn from Renaissance paintings was paired with COS's minimalist identity, resulting in a collection that balances extravagance with understated elegance.
'We really liked the idea of extreme masculinity and extreme femininity, skin, and the draping of materials,' says design director Karin Gustafsson.
Finding a venue that mirrored this duality of the collection was challenging, but Dionyssomarble Quarry perfectly matched the vision.
