"The light fades earlier, city lights turn on before the afternoon is over, and the wind bites the skin. During Scandinavian autumn and winter, people dress more warmly, and time slows down. I carry the memories and connections from summer longer than I should, still feeling them in my body. The longing for closeness and warmth is there, but it does not come easily. As everything around me changes, I do too."
"What happens to you when everyone disappears into their own lives and old routines as the darker months arrive? It explores the shift I feel when the season changes. The light fades earlier, city lights turn on before the afternoon is over, and the wind bites the skin. During Scandinavian autumn and winter, people dress more warmly, and time slows down."
A photographic series captures the transition into darker Scandinavian autumn and winter, where fading daylight, earlier city lights, and biting wind change mood and pace. People dress more warmly and daily life slows, producing a lingering attachment to summer memories and seasonal connections. The imagery focuses on longing for closeness and warmth that does not arrive easily as routines reassert themselves. The project probes identity, becoming, and self-perception through narrative-driven images that blend beauty and melancholy. Credits include photography and creative direction, styling, hair and makeup, models, a fashion film, and garments from contemporary and vintage brands.
