A documentary investigation into the 1990 murder of gay adult film performer Bill Newton (Billy London) prompted community members and amateur sleuths to reexamine archival materials and overlooked clues. A gay newspaper from the period showed numerous AIDS obituaries, intensifying urgency to address the homicide. Community investigators assisted Los Angeles police in identifying a new suspect who later confessed. Newton's head and feet had been discovered in a dumpster at the time of the killing. The film incorporates VHS and personal footage and includes an on-camera interview with the confessed killer; it will world premiere at SXSW.
