K-Pop Demon Hunters cast lit the Empire State Building in gold ahead of a sunset celebration for the Netflix animated film. Arden Cho, May Hong and Rei Ami joined co-director Chris Applehans and producer Michelle Wong for a sunrise lighting ceremony. The film blends Korean mythology and K-Pop culture as girl group HUNTR/X battles underworld creatures with animation inspired by anime and concert visuals. K-Pop Demon Hunters is Netflix's most-watched Animated Original film, and HUNTR/X became the first female K-Pop artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 with "Golden." Limited sing-along screenings run Aug. 22–23, and a Music-to-Light Spectacular will sync the building's lights to "Golden" while fans tune to Z100 at 9 p.m.

Additionally, the Empire State Building will have a Music-to-Light Spectacular that will be synced to the film's song, Golden.
