Joey Maggiore plans to open a new restaurant, The Delicatessen, on Tatum Boulevard on September 10. It will succeed the former home of The Rosticceria and is inspired by Maggiore's grandfather. The eatery will focus on New York deli staples, offering sandwiches with pastrami and house-cured corned beef, alongside an in-house bagel bar. Customers can personalize their bagels with various mix-ins and toppings. Other menu items will include black-and-white cookies and chocolate cake, all in a vintage diner setting that emulates classic New York delis.
'Our New York-style bagels will be made fresh in-house daily, delivering that perfectly chewy texture and crisp golden exterior that true bagel fanatics crave,' Maggiore said in a news release.
'We are excited to open this one-of-a-kind bagel bar,' Maggiore said. 'We will also have a chopped Italian sub bar where guests can pick their meats and ingredients, we will chop it all up and put on a homemade semolina bun.'
