Just Stop Oil to release soup cookbook after calling end to protests
Briefly

Just Stop Oil, known for its provocative art protest tactics, is shifting gears by launching a cookery book called 'Making a Bigger Splash: Soups.' Written by organizers Anne Carotte and Cory Ander, the book features creative soup recipes inspired by famous artworks. The initiative emerged after an accidental soup splash at a protest highlighted the group's culinary skills and passion for art. The recipes reflect both a love for culture and a commitment to environmental activism, merging gastronomy with their mission to combat climate change.
The group now plans to publish a cookery book titled 'Making a Bigger Splash: Soups' that features art-themed soup recipes, merging gastronomy with activism.
'At one protest we accidentally splashed some soup on one of the security guards...who suddenly gasped 'yummy!'' says organiser Anne Carotte.
The planned recipes include fun names like Hieronymus Borscht and Andy Warhol's Campbell Soup Cannellini Bean soup, showcasing culinary creativity alongside activism.
'Despite what people may think, we really are art lovers—we just think the planet is more important,' Carotte states.
