A 1-litre fresh skimmed milk with vitamins will now cost €1.19, cut from €1.25; a 1-litre fresh Irish protein milk will be €1.55, down from €1.59; and a 1-litre lactose-free light milk will cost €1.55, cut from €1.59."
Lidl will implement immediate price reductions across 12 milk products in Ireland while marking its 25th year of operations. Price cuts include 0.5-litre whole milk from €0.75 to €0.72, 1-litre bottles reduced to €1.19 across several varieties, 2-litre bottles to €2.35 and 3-litre to €3.39. Additional reductions include 1.75-litre xtra milk to €2.25 and Irish low-fat xtra milk 1-litre to €1.29, with premium fresh Irish protein and lactose-free light 1-litre varieties now €1.55. The reductions form part of wider everyday essential price cuts and Lidl plans further reductions in coming months. Consumers face a severe price squeeze, with food prices driving September inflation to 2.7% and steak up €5 per kilogram year-on-year.
