Whole Beast Is Opening a Permanent Restaurant in Brixton
"We've been big fans of Whole Beast, run by Sam & Alicja Bryant, for a while (we loved the food at their residency at New Cross pub The Fat Walrus and we've been following their many pop-ups) so we're very excited that the pair have found a permanent home for it. Whole Beast, as you might be able to guess from the name, is all about using every part of the animals they get in, and cooking all that meaty goodness over live fire."
"The menu at the new Brixton restaurant will be ever-evolving but include plenty of Whole Beast signatures, such as: aged cheeseburger (crowned Champion of Champions at the National Burger Awards) whipped smoked cod's roe and hash browns green chorizo tacos fatboy potatoes apple & cheddar pie There'll also be whole joints roasted over coals for smoked Sunday roasts, served with aged beef dripping trenchers, with cocktails, natural wines and craft beers on offer at the bar."
Whole Beast will open a permanent restaurant in Brixton at 336 Coldharbour Lane, scheduled for early November 2025. The concept centers on nose-to-tail cooking and live-fire techniques, with an ever-evolving menu that preserves Whole Beast signatures. Highlighted dishes include the aged cheeseburger (crowned Champion of Champions at the National Burger Awards), whipped smoked cod's roe with hash browns, green chorizo tacos, fatboy potatoes, and apple & cheddar pie. Whole joints will be roasted over coals for smoked Sunday roasts and served with aged beef dripping trenchers. The bar will offer cocktails, natural wines, and craft beers.
