Sengled has been removed from Amazon's Works With Alexa program due to repeated failures in maintaining smart control of its products. Amazon attributed this decision to multiple outages over several months that left customers unable to use Sengled's Alexa skill. Throughout this period, Sengled failed to communicate with its customers about the issues. While Sengled's Wi-Fi-enabled bulbs are affected, those using Zigbee, BLE Mesh, or Matter can still function with Alexa through a compatible Echo speaker or Eero Wi-Fi router, bypassing Sengled's servers.
After repeatedly leaving customers without smart control of their lights, Sengled has been booted from Amazon's Works With Alexa program due to ongoing outages.
Amazon stated that Sengled experienced a series of prolonged outages over the past few months that prevented customers from using Sengled's Alexa skill to control their light bulbs.
There appears to have been no communication to customers from Sengled regarding the outages, complicating customer access to their products.
Customers with Sengled bulbs that use Zigbee, BLE Mesh, or Matter can still control their lights through Alexa by connecting to a compatible device.
