Rudiger Koch, a 59-year-old German aerospace engineer, recently set a Guinness World Record for living underwater for 120 days in a capsule off Panama's coast. His record surpassed the previous one held by American Joseph Dituri by 20 days. The capsule, equipped with modern amenities and solar-powered, allowed Koch to experience the unique beauty of the underwater environment. Koch hopes his achievement will inspire new ways of thinking about human habitation and expansion into oceanic environments, demonstrating that the seas can potentially support human life.
It is impossible to describe, you have to experience that yourself. What we are trying to do here is prove that the seas are actually a viable environment for human expansion.
I enjoyed my time here very much. It is beautiful when things calm down and it gets dark and the sea is glowing.
