In a recent press availability at Oakland Arena, Draymond Green expressed his dissatisfaction with the current NBA officiating and the prevalent three-point shooting style. He believes that the physicality of the game has diminished, making it less engaging for fans. Green, a veteran player known for his technical fouls, argues that officiating should favor experienced players while younger ones should earn their credibility. He also criticized the league's record-high three-point attempts, claiming it has led to "accidental basketball" and has made the game less strategic and exciting compared to the past.
"I think the physicality has been taken out of the game, and it's boring," Green opined while surrounded by cameras and microphones during NBA All-Star game media day.
"The human element has been taken out of it, and I don't think that makes for a great product."
"It's very boring. It's not smart basketball no more," Green said. "I saw a clip, not too long ago, where Kobe said it was accidental basketball, and he couldn't have been more right."
