Sharon King-Chai, a mother of two children with additional needs, has created a board book series called Mirror Magic, aiming to engage all babies and toddlers, particularly those with sensory issues. The books, including Hello Bunny! and Hello Bee!, feature mirror pages that activate sensory play. Sharon's personal experiences have deeply influenced her design, as her children are sensory-oriented and she witnessed firsthand how a visually impaired child responds to the reflective images. She also plans community events, highlighting the impact of her books in promoting sensory engagement for all children.

In a chaotic world it offered a sanctuary.
Ever since a child I have been obsessed with mirrors, I would pretend in my bedroom that I was walking on the ceiling.
