Vaping to be banned outside schools and hospitals' in England
Briefly

Ministers are reportedly planning to ban vaping in playgrounds, hospital grounds, and near schools in an effort to deter children from adopting the habit.
A study published earlier this week found that 1 million people in England now vape despite having never been regular smokers previously, representing a seven-fold increase in just three years.
Prof Nick Hopkinson stated, 'Vaping has helped millions of adults quit smoking and is much less harmful than smoking. However, it is not risk-free and high levels of use among young people and growing use among never-smokers is a concern.'
With vaping rates highest among those aged 16 to 24, at 15.8%, officials express concern over the trend of rising usage among youth, prompting the proposed legislation.
