The World Health Organization has concluded that alcohol is carcinogenic to humans and has stated that no safe amount of alcohol consumption can be established concerning cancer risk.
A report from U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy revealed that there is a direct relationship between greater alcohol consumption and increased cancer risks, based on studies over the past 20 years.
Currently, only South Korea mandates cancer warnings on alcohol products, specifically regarding liver cancer, demonstrating that stringent health warnings on alcohol are uncommon worldwide.
Despite there being substantial evidence linking alcohol to various health risks, including cancer, only a quarter of the world's nations require any health warnings on alcohol.
