If John Wick director Chad Stahelski 'could get away with it,' he'd fully pivot to anime
Briefly

Lionsgate has announced the development of an animated prequel movie set in the John Wick universe that will explore the night the master assassin broke free from his obligations to the High Table. The film is directed by Shannon Tindle and written by Vanessa Taylor, with Keanu Reeves reprising his role as Wick. This project is part of a larger expansion including John Wick 5 and a Caine spinoff. Producer Chad Stahelski, a fan of anime, has hinted at the project's development and his influence from the medium.
"I hope people can watch at least John Wick: Chapter 4 and go, Oh, he's got a heavy, heavy anime influence."
"Stahelski grew up as a massive fan of Watanabe's work, and told Polygon he has literally memorized everything of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo."
