Army soldier linked to Snowflake extortion to plead guilty
Briefly

Cameron John Wagenius, a 20-year-old US Army soldier, has admitted in court to unlawfully transferring confidential phone records from AT&T and Verizon. He faces serious charges, including selling these records without authorization. Prosecutors also link him to a group that threatened to leak sensitive data from over 150 Snowflake cloud accounts. Working under the alias Kiberphant0m, Wagenius claimed to have accessed the call logs of notable figures and issued threats regarding the release of presidential call logs unless contacted by AT&T.
In the event you do not reach out to us, [AT&T], all presidential government call logs will be leaked. You don't think we don't have plans in the event of an arrest? Think again.
Wagenius was cuffed last month aged 20 after being indicted for unlawfully transferring confidential phone records without prior authorization.
