Only 5% of Organizations Have Deployed Quantum-Safe Encryption

A recent survey conducted by DigiCert uncovers a significant preparedness gap among organizations regarding the risks posed by quantum computing to encryption standards. While 69% of organizations are aware of these risks, only 5% have adopted quantum-safe encryption practices. Furthermore, nearly half recognize that their encrypted data is at risk of compromise. Challenges such as perceived difficulty, uncertainty, and a belief in the delayed arrival of quantum computing contribute to this inaction. As a result, many organizations might find themselves ill-prepared as quantum computing advances.
