Terra Blockchain Restarts After $4M Exploit

Terra blockchain paused after an exploit targeting a disclosed vulnerability in April reappeared in a June upgrade, resulting in over $4 million in token theft.
Security firm Beosin estimated $3.5 million USDC, $500,000 USDT, 2.7 BTC, and 60 million ASTRO stolen. The attacker exploited an ibc-hooks vulnerability disclosed in April.
ASTRO fell 56% post-attack, and Terra's LUNC tokens dropped 3.4% in 24 hours. Reentrancy bug lets exploiters repeatedly trick smart contracts to steal assets.
