"EUIPO-EPO Joint Study Shows IP-Driven Industries Create Half of EU's GDP - On Thursday, January 29, a study into intellectual property-driven industries released jointly by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO) showed that industries making intensive use of IP rights account for 47.9% of the gross domestic product (GDP) created within the European Union, with trademark intensive industries accounting for the largest share of GDP contributions."
