Betty White honored on USPS' new stamp
Briefly

Betty White was honored with a new U.S. Postal Service stamp during a first-day-of-issue ceremony at the Los Angeles Zoo. The stamp features her portrait with a vibrant design that encapsulates her lively spirit. Artist Dale Stephanos, who created the illustration based on a photo taken in 2010, expressed his desire to portray her personality through the artwork. The event saw tributes to White's legacy, especially her love for animals, highlighted by remarks from zoo officials and a performance of her famous theme song.
Animals were her kids and she loved them all - any shape, size and kind," said Richard Lichtenstein, a board member of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association.
I wanted Betty's huge personality to take center stage," said Boston-based artist Dale Stephanos regarding the stamp design.
