Dalton Rushing and Diego Cartaya, top prospects for the Los Angeles Dodgers, will not make their MLB debuts together as Cartaya has been traded to the Minnesota Twins. Rushing comments on the business nature of baseball, expressing sadness over the loss of Cartaya, whom he describes as not only a great player but also a good person. While Rushing became the Dodgers' top catching prospect, Cartaya, who faced struggles at the plate, will seek to make his MLB debut in 2025 with the Twins.
"Baseball is an actual business. You see it more and more the longer you play," Rushing said to Dodgers Nation's Doug McKain. "Losing Diego man, Diego is one of the best people."
"It's a new opportunity for him. That's the way you look at it in baseball," Rushing said. "I think it's a very exciting opportunity for him and I hope nothing but the best for him."
