The Los Angeles Dodgers are addressing bullpen needs following multiple injuries to their pitching staff, recently trading for Will Klein and signing Jose Urena. They also acquired Alexis Diaz, a struggling former All-Star, to help bolster their roster. General manager Brandon Gomes expressed optimism about Diaz's potential to regain his elite form with proper adjustments. Currently, the bullpen is overworked, leading to the urgency for new pitchers to step up, as the team has 15 players on the injured list.
We feel like we have an opportunity to take a step back and focus on his delivery and getting his body moving properly again," Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes said.
The Dodgers currently have 15 pitchers on the injured list, the latest being reliever Luis Garcia. Injuries have not been kind to the defending champions.
