The Los Angeles Dodgers, in partnership with actress Holly Robinson Peete and the HollyRod Foundation, hosted a sensory-friendly workshop at Dodger Stadium for over 30 children with autism in celebration of Autism Awareness Month. The event encouraged creativity and self-expression through art activities like making friendship bracelets. Major League Baseball players, including Teoscar Hernández, engaged actively with the participants, emphasizing the importance of support and connection for children on the autism spectrum. The HollyRod Foundation, co-founded by Peete, focuses on improving autism awareness and assisting families affected by related diagnoses.
For me to be able to go over there and be a little part of their life and try to make them feel even better and do some stuff with them, was pretty amazing.
Especially because I have a kid that is on the spectrum. So for me to be able to be part of somebody else's life is pretty cool. I'm going to be here for any support that they need and want.
