The event doesn't work without those guys. We're happy that they're here. I'm hoping, especially for the first timers, once they start playing and see how it’s run, that they really enjoy themselves.
Davi also praised the hospital workers, noting that everyone who works at TBHC feels that it is their hospital, and an immeasurable amount of pride shines through in everything they do "from the parking attendant, to the cashier in the café, to the doctors and the nurses, everyone brings their best self to work each and every day."
"It's a trendy breed," said Olga Setina, an administrator at the centre. "Everyone rushes to get them... But they're bulldogs, they've got teeth, they've got health issues, they've got everything. And then people abandon them," she added.
"I've always found people terrifically friendly and supportive. It's near the Heath, we have wonderful schools. Our children went to William Ellis and Parliament Hill, it seems it ticks all the boxes and still does."
