Evan Phillips was left off the Dodgers' 2024 World Series roster due to right arm and shoulder fatigue, as well as nerve irritation. Despite hopes to return quickly, he continues to deal with recovery during Spring Training. Exam results showed no need for surgery, but there remains some damage. His initial throwing program was limited, resulting in a delay, and he has just begun throwing long toss, making him uncertain for the Opening Series in Tokyo on March 18 and 19.
"I know they're looking out for my best interests in the training room, the front office guys. They want to take care of me so that when I am back I'm good to go."
"Exams of my shoulder did not show sufficient damage to require surgery, but there is still some damage present, and recovery is ongoing."
