The Los Angeles Dodgers have optioned reliever Michael Petersen to Triple-A Oklahoma City for the second time this month.
Petersen made his MLB debut this season, appearing in his first game on June 18. He last pitched in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers, recording two outs.
Petersen has spent the majority of the 2024 season in Triple-A, appearing in 23 games with Oklahoma City, giving up four earned runs for a 1.61 ERA.
Joe Kelly may be activated to replace Petersen after being on the 60-day injured list due to a posterior shoulder strain. Kelly had completed two rehabilitation assignments and is expected to return after the All-Star Break.
