Dodgers undefeated start breaks multiple MLB records
Briefly

In a thrilling game, the Los Angeles Dodgers completed a sweep of the Atlanta Braves, highlighted by Shohei Ohtani's walk-off home run on his bobblehead night. This victory marked their sixth comeback win and solidified their historic 8-0 start to the season, the best in franchise history since 1955. Manager Dave Roberts praised the team's approach at the plate, emphasizing their ability to take walks and wait for crucial hits. Notably, this start broke a tie with the 1933 New York Yankees as the best for a defending World Series champion, showcasing their resilience despite trailing in several games.
"What it is, in my opinion, is we continue to take good at-bats," manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday. "I think there was an at-bat to start one inning, where (Michael) Conforto walked. He took some borderline pitches and it led to Tommy's (Edman) homer that got us back into the game."
"Just being able to take walks, work counts, allows us to get back into games without getting hits. And then we can kind of wait for that big hit, which we've gotten in these first eight games."
"It looked bleak early with Blake (Snell). He wasn't sharp, just missing, the walks in there. But our guys persevered. I think each night we're unbeatable. We'll see how that works out."
