On March 17, 2008, the Los Angeles Dodgers said farewell to Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida, after 61 years as their spring training site. Their final game there ended in a 12-10 loss to the Houston Astros. This marked a significant transition as they were the last West Coast MLB team to train in Florida. The Dodgers moved to Camelback Ranch in Arizona for spring training in 2009, with Dodgertown officially closing in July 2008. Major League Baseball announced renovations in 2019, renaming the facility Jackie Robinson Training Complex, celebrating its rich history.
